Kel-Suu lake
Lake Kel-Suu stands as one of Kyrgyzstan's most captivating mountain lakes, capturing the attention of global tourists in recent years. Situated in the Naryn region within the Ak-Sai Valley along the Chinese border, this stunning lake graces the headwaters of the Kurumduk River, nestled at an elevation of approximately 3600 meters above sea level. Given the challenging altitude, acclimatization becomes a crucial step before embarking on any demanding trekking endeavors. The lake's origin traces back to a powerful earthquake, and to fully appreciate its beauty, visitors must navigate its expanse by boat. The fresh water of Kel-Suu possesses a distinctive greenish hue, adding to the allure of this natural wonder. Stretching over 9 kilometers in length, the lake's width varies from 500 meters to an expansive 2 kilometers at its widest point. Notably, the entire northern section is encircled by towering cliffs, restricting walking opportunities but enhancing the majestic and secluded ambiance of Lake Kel-Suu.
